This may not be any help, but at least it's true.

  5. OK. It's after midnight in Chicago. It's time already for the fucking cease-fire. My heart can't take this shit anymore. I would rather die than see my friends go through this shit for another second. CEASE FIRE ALREADY - PLEASE!!!

tell me I can go on living--or not.

  7. I am glad to meet you in website. But I am sorry. I am in South Korea (Republic of Korea). I remember the video game, name of "Beirut" when I was teenages in early 80's. One guy shot the soldiers and destroyed the tank in the ruin of Beirut. I didn't know why the guy kill the soldiers and why the city was destoryed in that game. I haven't known yet the proper reason why the Beirut has been destoying. But I could know that the sorrow in your heart from your blog.

  8. hello michael, paul, and all the new and old friends,
well, since 8 this morning, it seems that the cease-fire is trying to get here. the problem is that it may take a long time before an effective end of this stupid war. i do not believe it will be easy, but i hope that i am wrong.
it has to stop as michael says. it had to stop yesterday before today. it had to not start in the first place.
i really hope it is ending soon because i am beginning to get really tired. my body is almost saying: "not with me anymore".

    we need to rest.
we need to go back to our homes.
we need to build back our homes.
we need to burry our deads.
    we need to stop resisting.

  11. Salut Maz

truly brilliant work framed but unedited as part
of an exhibit- completely non-profit- to
promote awareness in this country the U.S about
    what is going on.

  17. Paul quoted Walter Benjamin. Sad but true. The talking heads are having their say today. Nasrallah claims Hezbollah has Won, George Bush and the Israeli cabinet says the Israelis have won. When will we become evolved enough to accept the fact that no one ever wins a war? At this very minute there are mothers crying for their lost children, the cries sound the same in any of the worlds languages. What must be done to stop the hatred? I hope you and Evan are ok.

  18. Mazen - your work is stunning. the visual
diary of the exasperating fluctuations of
a psyche beseiged by the madness of war
    and the chutzpah of power.

Imiki_ part of the rebuilding one would hope
    might include profound cultural transformation
    and soul searching.
